Frequently asked questions
General information about our programs
-
Saturday Club is a term based program - ie. spots are purchased on a term basis (or part thereof, if you’re joining mid-term). This means there are no refunds for missed weeks. This ensures the sustainability of our high facilitation ratios even when weekly attendance bobs around due to illness or travel. It also allows a “set and forget” mindset for parents - no worrying about dates and cancellation windows.
-
This is sometimes possible!
Occasionally we offer “half term” spots - where two families share a single spot by attending on alternating weekends.
This can work well for families seeking to stretch out their NDIS budget, or those with lots of competing weekend activities.
If this would work well for you, please reach out. -
We never run on long weekends or holiday weekends. This ensures you can go away without paying for sessions you don’t use.
-
Absolutely.
Most families claim our service under Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living (i.e., the therapy bucket). Some families claim under Capacity Building - Improved Social and Community Participation (i.e., the social skills bucket). However, this only works where the family is self managed and therefore not subject to NDIS price caps. Our service is significantly more clinically focused and staffed than a standard social skills program, and therefore the fee exceeds the “social group” price cap that applies to plan managed families.
-
We invoice twice per term. This is to minimise admin for families.
If you’d prefer a different frequency we can usually accommodate it, so please just reach out.
The exception to this is medicare funded 1:1 sessions, which we invoice weekly (unless a family requests otherwise).
-
Yes, limited 1:1 therapy services are available for group members. In addition to our group services, we provide the following 1:1 services.
Psychology services, delivered at home, school, or on Saturdays at Kew.
Speech pathology allied health assistant sessions (a speech pathology student working under supervision), delivered on Saturdays at Kew
Social work therapy, delivered at home, school, or on Saturdays at Kew.
Our focus remains group programs. Our 1:1 services are reserved for group members, and are provided with the overarching focus of helping the child reach their social potential.
-
Yes, we also deliver online programs during the week. In addition to our face-to-face services, we offer two online programs:
Secret Agent Society (SAS).

-
Fees are available for download from our website. Fees for group services cover facilitators (up to 4 per group - psychologist, speech pathologist, teacher, peer worker) + all materials + individualised preparation + clinical documentation + individualised reports.
Fees for 1:1 sessions are set according to NDIS price decisions.
NDIS progress reports are invoiced separately.
All fees are subject to change.
Information ahead of your trial session *
* Junior Saturday Club and our Teen Groups have a different onboarding process - we'll discuss this with you in our intake call. -
Find us at 18 Pakington Street Kew. Make sure you enter the street address into your maps app.
If you enter “Kew Primary School”, Google maps will take you to a locked gate at the opposite end!
-
Arrive 5 mins early if you can. This gives us a relaxed hello. But no worries if you’re running late. We’ll ensure it’s a smooth entry for your child.
-
You can stay or go (whatever feels right). Some parents stay close, others go for coffee.
Some families hang out in the school grounds with siblings while the group is running. -
Saturday Club sessions run for 1 hour and 15 mins. This can be a surprisingly tricky interval to calculate!
You can check your reminder message if unsure.
Please note Junior Saturday Club and Teen Saturday Club run to different lengths. Check your reminder message for details. -
Please enter the building to collect your child at the end. Just come on in when time is up. The children will often be finishing something they’ll want to show you.
Depending on what’s going on, we might have time for a quick chat. Usually though, we’ll catch you during the week to debrief. -
Yes, we send you notes the next day.
You’ll receive a brief summary of the session, including observations of your child.
-
We’ll give you a ring during the week, once you and your child have had a chance to absorb the experience.
If your child is keen to enrol, we send you all the paperwork.
If you know enough to make a decision after receiving the notes - assuming you have no other questions - you can skip the call by emailing us and we’ll get you all set up. -
We’ll invoice you on our next invoicing run (twice per term) - unless you request otherwise.
Depending on when your trial session falls, this means it might be some time before you receive an invoice.
Enrolling your child in Saturday Club
-
There’s some admin to get enrolled, but we keep it as streamlined as possible. When enrolling, we’ll send you two forms:
An Intake Form - which gathers information about your child.
A Service Agreement - which formalises the care arrangement.
There are very few mandatory fields, so you can whizz through them in a few minutes if you need to.
Alternatively, if you’ve got the time, you can provide us a very rich picture.
-
We strongly recommend it. We offer a baseline assessment using a standardised measure called the Social Responsiveness Scale 2 (SRS-2).
This gives us something to measure against as time passes.
This is clinically useful, but it also comes in handy during NDIS plan reviews. The NDIA is increasingly expecting standardised measures to be used.
Baseline assessments are priced based on the clinical time it takes to administer them (see the fee schedule for more information).
-
Yes absolutely (assuming there’s a spot).
If you’re starting mid-term, you only pay for the portion of the term you’re enrolled for.
Once you’re enrolled
-
Yes indeed, we’re available for phone calls during the week. (We’ll also try and make ourselves available after the session, but this isn’t always possible amid all the chaos!)
Short calls (<10 mins) are free of charge. They are part of the service.
If there’s more to discuss, we can book a billable parent consultation (these are generally covered by NDIS).
We value parent engagement. It’s never an imposition.
-
Reach out if you’re interested. We’ll walk you through the options to see what’s right for your child.
-
Nope! At the end of term, we send you a reminder to let us know if you’re leaving the service. But if you’re returning next term, no need to do anything. We’ll re-enrol your child over the holidays.
If you’re taking a break, we do ask you to tell us by the date we specify in our end-of-term email so we can offer the spot to a wait-listed family.
-
Keep us posted if you will need one. We regularly provide these reports to families ahead of their plan reviews (see fee schedule for pricing).
Knowing in advance can help us prepare the material required.
